"Another Earth"

My Darlings,

Have any mid-week plans tonight? Since it's my only day off this week I thought it'd be nice to take a field trip to the Ferry building and enjoy some Blue Bottle coffee!

Also later on tonight I'll be attending a screening of "Another Earth" with director Mike Cahill and actress Brit Marling.  There should be a quick Q&A to follow as well!

Here's the trailer of "Another Earth" if you haven't already seen it:

DIY Wednesday: Cosby Coffee Cozy!!

Happy Wednesday folks!
I hope the middle of your week is splendid. I'm off to a hump day brunch in a bit, but would love to share with you a quick DIY project that can be done in 5 minutes. Yes, that's right, 5 minutes!

I've recently rekindled my love for Cosby sweaters, especially in chilly San Francisco, and thought it'd be fun to think of new ways of reusing one. I first off I decided to create a circle scarf. The idea came from my friend Monica, who learned how to make them from Kelly Malone of Workshop and IndieMart

After I made the scarf, I decided to play with the rest of the material and came up with a quick and easy coffee cup cozy.

Step One: Measure out the shape with a paper coffee cup sleeve

Step Two: Cut the material with the seam intact on one side (this requires less stitching).

Step Three: Sew the other edge together with the material inside out.

Step Four: Flip right-side out and enjoy!

P.S. Here's a fun Cosby sweater Tumblr to keep you inspired. = )

Smitten: Parisian Apartment

I've been completely obsessed with all things Parisian for the past four months. I love the cuisine, architecture and of course the language. So once I stumbled upon these photos of this gorgeous apartment I couldn't help but share it.

How lucky is Victoria (from SF Girl By Bay) to find such a posh flat on airbnb?! I hope her vacation was as fabulous as her abode.

Have a Romantic Weekend!

From hello.stephanie

Hello Loves!
It's the first week of summer! What are some of your plans? While I'll probably spend most of my weekend working, I'll also be celebrating Pride Week here in SF!!

Also, here are some cute finds from around the web:

Super Cute Bike Wedding in Brooklyn

Nom Nom Nom

This movie looks nothing less than phenomenal.

A cute way to add some green in your place

These French sneakers are such a great alternative to the usual Converse or TOMS you see out and about.

Fun rainbow-inspired looks to get you excited for pride.

xoxo!

Daily Inspiration

Sometimes we need a new take on an old cliche, to remind us what's really important in life.

Covet Tuesday

I am absolutely in love with these pieces from Shabd Simon-Alezander. I'm usually not a fan of tie dye but these watercolor designs are stunning! Not to mention, the fit looks extremely comfortable and chic!

What are some pieces you've been coveting lately?
